Insurance anyone?

So for dental hygiene school I am required to have health insurance before I can start (in August) I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of where to get some that would be fairly cheap or has good coverage, and preferably maternal coverage (in the event that I get pregnant while attending school). I would really appreciate any info that anyone has. Thanks!!!

Blech, I hate dealing with insurance, but let's be honest...it's completely worth it. You could probably look into a private plan through either SelectHealth or Blue Cross/Blue Shield. These are the two most popular providers in Utah. The only downfall is while the coverage tends to be most awesome, it can get pricey. Go to their websites to see what your premiums would be. I am pretty sure you can either choose a 500 or 1000 dollar deductible. Warning: they are SO picky. What we found to work before we got put on to my husbands work heath insurance (which is through SelectHealth, we love it, but that, even through his work, is 500 bucks a month) is AFLAC. We actually still have it. It comes to about 125 a month and that includes maternity. I would strongly recommend AFLAC if you are looking for a less expensive, but decent coverage.

I've dealth a ton with insurance for the past 2 years, so yeah. Good luck! Let me know if I can help ya at all.
